Zoo Med Terrarium Moss

Zoo med terrarium moss is a natural substrate designed for amphibians and wetland dwelling reptiles, containing no chemicals or dyes.  Zoo med terrarium moss is also ideal for use in egg-laying, incubation and humidifying shelters.

Available in a range of five different sizes, from 1.3 litres to a mini bale for those with multiple terrariums. Also useful to surround your reptile’s water dish to enable your reptile to have easy access to water and also help to prevent accidental drowning.

Sphagnum moss is also available, which comes in a dried block to allow for long term storage. Once water is added to the moss it will swell up to a fresh moist moss, excellent for providing humid areas inside your reptile’s terrarium.

It is important to maintain the humidity within your reptile's enclosure, especially at times when they are shedding as most shedding problems are caused by low humidity levels in the vivarium or terrarium. By adding a moistened substrate to their environment you will dramatically increase the humidity within the tank.
